Robert Mitchell and Studio B - Desperate is Beauty because Beauty Dies Yikes! A great new CD! Robert Mitchell, my favourite New Yorker poet and lead singer with Missippi Goddamn (see other records for details) left a couple of recorded readings when he visited Cologne in 2000. Studio B, a new all-star band - Sibyll, Donald and Slomo of Horse Cock Kids/Missippi Goddamn/Spunx-fame, former Furthur and outrageous painter Andreas Bausch and guitar wizz Heinrich Vater - textured the vocal tapes with sounds and improvisations. The result is an atmospheric and funky album. Short of playing time, but rich with beauty! Easily ranks among the finest music that STRANDED could possibly offer. Text: Kurt Kreikenbom Tracks:
